Privacy
Effective August 17, 2026. ChurchLore collects the email address, username, password hash, and session records needed to operate an account. Passwords are stored as one-way salted hashes, not readable text.
Activity we retain
We retain appreciations, saved stories, follows, opened stories, comments, quiz progress where supported, and reports so those features work across devices and so aggregate first-party usage can be understood. Administrators can see account dates, recent sign-ins, and moderation history.
How information is used
Information is used to provide the service, secure accounts, moderate discussion, answer support requests, improve historical content, and understand aggregate use. ChurchLore does not sell personal information or use third-party advertising trackers.
Retention and requests
Sessions expire automatically. Moderation and security records may be retained to protect the community. During beta, account access, correction, or deletion requests can be submitted through the project’s published support contact.
