← ChurchLore

The Church has a memory.

ChurchLore turns scrolling into sustained learning about the people, documents, controversies, worship, institutions, and ordinary lives that formed Christian history.

How stories are written

Posts are curated rather than crowdsourced. A launch-ready story identifies its date and place, explains the immediate setting, names competing positions when a controversy is involved, states what was at stake, and follows the outcome beyond a memorable quotation or image.

Perspective and scope

ChurchLore does not pretend that every Christian tradition agrees. It describes convictions across the history of the Church, distinguishes an actor’s own claims from later judgments, and marks uncertainty rather than turning it into false precision. Editorial interpretation is historically Protestant and confessionally Reformed, while the historical record includes movements and conclusions with which that tradition disagrees.

Corrections

Every story can be reported for incorrect information or a missing connection. Reports enter an administrator’s review queue so corrections can be investigated rather than buried in a comment thread.
